iPad iPhone & Apple Jacks Revenue



CALIFORNIA - Apple Inc. recorded the best quarterly sales results, the end of 2010, when the U.S. technology giant that received a total revenue of USD 26.7 billion.

That number represents a significant increase compared to third quarter that 'only' record USD 15.1 billion. Increased sales of IPAD and the iPhone during the Christmas and New Year holidays mentioned an important contribution in the total profit of USD 6 billion, as reported by CNN Money, Sunday (01/23/2011).

Companies from Cupertino, Calif., sold 7.3 million during the fourth quarter IPAD, which in fact exceeded Wall Street analysts predicted.

IPad success comes from various sources. The reason, though Macintosh computers must be struggling to penetrate the business market, according to Apple, iPad 'hard sell' in the consumer business. Approximately 80 percent of the top Fortune 100 companies known to provide iPad for their employees.

Not only iPad, Apple was to earn bigger profits from selling the iPhone. Apple claims to have managed to sell 16.2 million iPhones, other record companies.

Even so, Apple predicts, iPad sales in the first quarter 2011 will decline, after passing through the holidays. Because the iPod is also noted the same trend, with sales in the holiday season has doubled compared to the other three quarters.

iPod alone sold more than 19.5 million units in the fourth quarter, while sales of Macintosh computers record 4.1 million.
