Caring for iPod Battery Tips

IPod-type lithium polymer battery that can be used on average for 500 times the filling process. Charging process here means starting from an empty state at all (when you use the battery continues until no trace) followed by filling to the brim. If you charge your iPod every day, 500 filling about 3 years old (although there are other claims which says only lasts 18 months). If you charge your iPod's battery less frequently then your battery will last longer than hard drives.
Here's a way for your iPod's battery can be durable :
- Do not let your battery run out completely.
To get the longest life for your battery, do not let let it empty at all and do not continue to use until the iPhone died. Whatever little you use your iPod, fill to the brim at least once every 3 weeks to prevent the batteries become empty. If you are on vacation for a month, you must bring your iPod and fill it in time.
- Reduce the use of battery
Play your music from album or playlist, not by jumping from one track to another. Remember, the iPod can store an album or playlist to minimize the hard disk spin. But when you ask your iPod to play tracks that have not been stored in the cache, it will make the hard disk must spin ahead and access the song.
- Use AAC or MP3 files than WAV or AIFF (files from a Mac). This is because uncompressed WAV and AIFF, and therefore larger than the compressed file, which will hamper the iPod using its cache effectively, so the hard disk has to work harder.
- Minimize use of the backlight on or off only. To set the backlight is go to the Settings> Backlight Timer. Here you can adjust the amount of time menyalanya backlight (2, 5, 10, or 20 seconds). Set it to Always On is not recommended to keep your battery. For the best, just turn off.
